Good Schools Making the Grade

National Advisors

Dr. Alison Harmon, as Program Director of the education portfolio at The Skillman Foundation, initiated and developed the overall Good Schools concept in consultation with a team of advisors.  Four of them continued as National Advisors to develop the application and selection process of Good Schools: Making the Grade Initiative.

The National Advisors are national experts in school improvement and assessment. In developing the indicators as quantitative and qualitative measures, the advisors used two primary resources: research on effective schools and award programs rewarding high performing schools.
